Full Professor of Aerospace Structures at Politecnico di Milano, Italy
Pierangelo Masarati is full professor of aerospace structures at Politecnico di Milano, Italy. He received his PhD in Aerospace Engineering in 2000 from Politecnico di Milano. He teaches aeroelasticity, structural dynamics, rotorcraft design and multibody system dynamics, and coordinates the PhD Programme in Aerospace Engineering. His main research interests lie in rotorcraft aeromechanics, rotorcraft-pilot couplings, flight simulation, and multibody system dynamics. He is the original developer of and currently heads the project MBDyn for a free, general-purpose multibody solver http://www.mbdyn.org/.
