Elżbieta M. Jarzębowska
Associate Editor
Visiting professor, Cranfield University, Cranfield, UK
Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering, Institute of Aeronautics and Applied Mechanics, Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland
Elżbieta M. Jarzębowska is a professor at the Institute of Aeronautics and Applied Mechanics, Power and Aeronautical Engineering Department of the Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland. She received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D., D.Sc. degrees in mechanical engineering, control and mechanics of constrained systems, from the Warsaw University of Technology. Her fields of research expertise and teaching include dynamics modeling and analysis of multibody systems, optimal control, nonlinear control of multibody systems including nonholonomic, underactuated, UAV, space, underwater and robotic systems, and geometric control theory. Prof. Jarzębowska was involved in research projects for Automotive Research Centre and Engineering Research Centre for Reconfigurable Machining Systems at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. She gained experience when worked for Ford Motor Company Research Laboratories, Dearborn, MI, USA, and the Cranfield University, UK. She is an author of about 150 research papers, a monograph on dynamics modeling and control, tutorials and handbooks in mechanics. She is a member of the Committee of Mechanics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, ASME and IFToMM Technical Committee of Terramechanics. She serves as an associate editor for Journal of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, Journal of Nonlinear Complex and Data Science and ASME Journal of Computational and Nonlinear Dynamics.
