Andreas Zwölfer
Associate Editor
Chair of Applied Mechanics at the Technical University of Munich in Munich, Germany
Andreas Zwölfer did his Ph.D. in flexible multibody system dynamics at the University of Innsbruck, his M.Sc. in Advanced Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London, and his B.Sc. in Automotive Engineering at the Joanneum University of Applied Sciences Graz – each with distinction. Prior to this, Andreas gained extensive work experience as an automotive technician. Currently, he not only contributes to the mission of the Chair of Applied Mechanics at the Technical University of Munich as a principal scientist and member of the chair’s management team, but is also a visiting professor at Boeing in Washington. Also, time and again Andreas has been teaching as an adjunct professor at various institutions around the world. His research and teaching center on flexible multibody system dynamics, finite element methods, structural dynamics, and model reduction. Andreas has contributed to the scientific community through numerous publications and talks. He has been involved in the organization of several international conferences and regularly reviews articles for leading journals in his field. Additionally, he is a member of ASME’s Technical Committee on Multibody Systems and Nonlinear Dynamics and serves as an associate editor for the ASME Journal of Computational and Nonlinear Dynamics.
