Dr. Chiara Gastaldi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Politecnico di Torino. Dr. Gastaldi earned her PhD at Politecnico di Torino in 2017 and has been visiting reseacher at Sandia National Laboratories and University of Michigan. She serves within the ASME Technical Committee on Vibration and Sound and within the International Committee on Jointed Structures. Her research interests include nonlinear dynamics of friction-damped structures, dynamics and design of meta-materials and lattice structures, reduced order modeling and circular design of complex systems.
